  Lemongrass Oil is very refreshing and relaxing and is commonly used as an insect repellent. In addition, it helps to revive a tired mind and is a great tonic to revitalise the body.

  In manufacturing they steam distill the oil from the leaves. It is antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, astringent, a digestive stimulant and an insecticide. However, do not use on children under the age of 2 or on sensitive or damaged skin. Avoid using on people with prostatic hyperplasia or glucoma. Importantly, do not use at more than 1% dilution on the skin.

  Pine Scotch Oil comes from Siberia and is steam distilled from the needles, young twigs and cones.

  In terms of how the oil helps us physically, it is antibacterial, anticatarrhal, antirheumatic, a decongestant and a neurotonic.

  Scotch Pine is said to be the only Pine which survived the Ice Ages; it can survive at – 40C.

  Pinus Sylvestris is known as Scotch Pine in English, but as Norway Pine in Scandinavia, it grows all over Europe.

  The oil is extensively used for disinfectants, room sprays and other household products. This a fine oil from Siberia, the major producer of pinus sylvestris.

  In India, Jasmine is referred to as ‘Queen of the night’ due to it’s scent being stronger after sunset.

  Jasmine Absolute is extracted by alcohol extraction from a ‘concrete’ made with the flowers of the plant, picked by hand, only in the evening. This process is what makes Jasmine so costly. The Jasmine used in this product is 100% pure and natural.

  Frankincense Oil 10ml

  Frankincense has a resinous, woody aroma and is considered by many diverse cultures as the most spiritual and prized of all essential oils.

  Its classic use is for prayer or meditation as well as in skincare preparations and was frequently used in the embalming process by the Egyptians. It has a wonderful ability to still the mind.

  The Frankincense, or Olibanum, is a small tree which grows to a height of up to 7 meters. It has narrow leaves and pale pink or white flowers.

  The East African origin refers mainly to Somalian resin, but some of it also comes out of Kenya. Olibanum comes from the bark of the boswellia species, which is prompted to exude resin when incisions are made in the bark. This oil is steam distilled in France from top quality resin. European distillation allows better control over production than oils distilled at source.
