Moldavite was formed approx. 15million years after the impact of a large meteorite. Rock was melted by the impact and propelled over a radius of 250 miles. These cooled while airborne and fell in the general area of present day Moldovia. Moldavite is now found along the banks of the river Molau, which is how it got it’s name.
Moldavite is a stone of new beginnings and is used as a talisman for good fortune and fertility.It can enhance the effect of other crystals. It is a rare stone and become extinct soon.
