The Morgan Greer Tarot is based on the structure of the Rider-Waite Tarot. It is a uniquely expressive deck which features magical imagery presented in deep, saturated colors. The card deck is a borderless 78-card deck. As a result the reader can see the details of tarot scenery and symbolism from a close, intimate perspective. The deck draws the reader into its evocative artwork. When laid out in a spread, the full scenes on borderless cards create a beautiful picture.
This is the first modern tarot deck based upon the combined research of tarot leaders Arthur Edward Waite and Paul Foster Case. The Case book was used a primer by artist Bill Greer in choosing the colors for the Morgan-Greer deck, so as to "create an emotional reaction to each card even before the image could be looked at in depth."
The original Rider Waite deck was written in 1905 by AE Waite for the Rider publishing company. Many decks have been published since that have used the imagery. In addition, many books have been written using the same imagery so information on one deck can be translated for use on others.
