Each notebook is handmade and contains approx 60 pages of unlined khadda paper. The manufacturers us acid free recycled paper when making Khadda paper. It is a beautiful paper to write or draw on and you will enjoy writing or drawing on this paper.

In addition, the embossing on the covers has been done with small individual handmade tools making each notebook unique. The embossed pattern might not be the same as on the image but will be just as lovely and carefully made.

A small family business in Rajasthan make this product. You are ensuring people in rural villages have fairly paid work that would have otherwise been difficult to find.

The khadda paper used in the products is handmade using recycled cotton leftover from the massive garment industry in India. A charity in rural Rajasthan make the paper. They promote women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages.

In addition, the leather used for the covers is a byproduct of the meat industry. The manufacturers tan the leather using natural dyes.
