All of the buffalo leather products are ethically made by the incredibly talented artisans at Handicraft Villa in India.

The khadda paper used in the products is handmade using recycled cotton leftover from the massive garment industry in India. The paper is made by a charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages.

In addition, the leather used for the covers is a byproduct of the meat industry.

    The Anahata Chakra Stearin Candle is a fragranced candle with 3% essential oils. It contains lavandin, orange and  tangerine essential oils. The term Anahata relates to the 4th chakra and the candle is coured green.

    Stearin or palm wax is a fully renewable resource. It gives a clean and smokeless candle burn with no black smoke and no waste as it burns to the very end. There is no metal content of lead or zinc and it comes with a pure cotton wick.

    In many traditions, lighting a candle implies a sacred act. From time immemorial, people have been lighting candles in sacred places. Perhaps you would like to start or end your day with the simple ritual of lighting a candle. It may also be that you want to burn a candle as an intention for a friend or loved one.     By using certified palm oil and durable packing materials, these candles are an environment-friendly product.
    As much as possible production of the candles is done by hand. This is a way offering a guaranteed job for as many people as possible. Eighty percent of the employees are female.
