In addition, we call those expelled from Heaven fallen angels, as distinct from the heavenly host.
In greek mythology Angelos was a daughter of Zeus and held influence over the world of the dead. When depicted in Art Angels usually appear like humans of extraordinary beauty and are also usually female. However, there are exceptions. Also, we often see them in Christian artwork with bird wings, halos, and divine light.
